Tableau | Bypassing Minimum Hardware Requirments

Got stuck on Minimum Hardware Requirements Page in Tableau? Bypassing this Minimum Requirements Page is really easy...

Follow these three simple steps below:
  1. Run the setup normally how you would. Just make sure to remember the extract path which you choose at below screen:

  2. Now when you are at minimum required configuration screen, hold on!! Don't press the Cancel button yet...

...make a copy of the below folder.

  3. Now go ahead and press the Cancel button in the Tableau Setup. This will cause the setup to cleanup the existing Tableau installation folder and all that will remain there are some logs. But you will have all the extracted files in Tableau - Copy Folder.

Now to proceed with the setup, you will be directly executing the setup file inside this extracted folder and viola, your setup will begin.

Proceed normally from here as you would.
So, as you could see in few steps, you could avoid the Minimum Hardware Requirements page all together.

This approach is definitely not recommended for installation in Production Environment. You may like to try this when installing Tableau in Test Environment OR Trial Systems where amount of RAM / CPU is limited.

Note: I have tested this with Tableau 64 Bit Version 10-0-1 Setup in February of 2017. This trick may not work in future if Tableau Software changes this in later versions.
